My name is Glenn Carson. I'm a banjo nut, builder, player, sometime pearl and metal engraver & wood carver, fiddler, fly fisher, and other similar silly stuff. Hopefully even more importantly a husband, dad, grandad and friend.

My 2013 Christmas gift from my son-in-law Seth was this web page.... Now I don't know much about having a web page, but I'm gonna give it a whirl. At this stage in my life this is still a part time thing so I'm not looking to sell anything or generate a lot of attention, mainly I just hope it is interesting to folks who might be into or getting interested in all things banjo. When I was getting started in the early 70's I had a had time finding anyone to show me anything, so I hope to possibly inspire a few of you who might be thinking about building or playing the banjo. I'm probably going to keep it light and positive and refrain from controversial topics for the most part but we'll see how that goes. Seth and my son Russ are going to help me get things set up and keep things going so I'll thank them right up front now.
